More than 60 volunteers, composed of veteran police officers, firefighters and construction trade union workers, will arrive Friday to frame, side and roof the home being built for Marine veteran and New Britain native Manny Jimenez, part of the Purple Heart Home project. On Thursday, Kevin Profitlich, one of a group of FDNY firefighters who were at the site, uses a nail gun to anchor the subfloor.
