57 Connecticut State Troopers Receive Layoff Notices

Connecticut State Troopers march into the Department of Public Safety in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100205110000" title="Meriden" href="/topic/us/connecticut/new-haven-county/meriden-PLGEO100100205110000.topic">Meriden</a> Wednesday. Fifty-seven state troopers received layoff notices as part of the more than 300 state layoffs announced Wednesday. The troopers are members of the previous graduating class - the newest members of the force. The layoffs are scheduled to take effect in six weeks on Aug. 24.
