57 Connecticut State Troopers Receive Layoff Notices

Connecticut State Troopers march into the Department of Public Safety in Meriden Wednesday. Fifty-seven state troopers received layoff notices as part of the more than 300 state layoffs announced Wednesday. The troopers are members of the previous graduating class - the newest members of the force. The layoffs are scheduled to take effect in six weeks on Aug. 24.Patrick Raycraft, The Hartford Courant
