Former All-Star relief pitcher Ricky Bottalico played for six teams in his 12-year MLB career, having his best years with the Philadelphia Phillies, the team he began his career with. He was named an All-Star in 1996, when he had a 3.19 ERA and 34 saves. Bottalico finished his career with 116 saves and now works as a TV analyst for the Philadelphia Phillies. The New Britain native went to South Catholic High School in Hartford and played college ball at Central Connecticut State University.
