JBER Paratrooper Killed, 5 Soldiers Wounded in Afghan IED Attack

The U.S. Army says Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson paratrooper Spc. Jeffrey Lee White Jr., 21, of Catawissa, Mo. was killed Tuesday by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan's Khowst province that wounded five other soldiers. White had been in Afghanistan since December on his first combat deployment.
