To some he's a folk hero, to others Colton Harris-Moore is nothing more than a punk, made famous for his brazen crimes, and ability to elude the law in our state.
But now, authorities suspect the so-called Barefoot Bandit may have moved on and is now being investigated for a crime spree in Oregon.
Over the last couple years, anytime a boat or plane is stolen across the Northwest, or a home is broken into around the San Juans - Harris-Moore is at the top of the suspect list.
But police believe what happened on June first in the little town of Warrenton could be his first foray into Oregon.
Police say that day a boat they say was stolen from Ilwaco, Washington was dumped there.
Over the next couple hours, police say a car was stolen, and someone tried to snatch a plane too.
Police are now analyzying fingerprints to see if they match Harris-Moore's.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
