Former Mariners players and fan favorites helped spread the holiday spirit Wednesday at Seattle's Ronald McDonald House, which provides a home away from home for families of sick or hospitalized children.

Former outfielders Dave Henderson and John Olerud, along with the Mariner Moose and team broadcaster Rick Rizzs, stopped by the House as part of their annual "Toys for Kids" tour -- a non-profit they founded 16 years ago.

They handed out gifts, signed autographs and posed for photographs.

So far, they've raised more than $850,000 to benefit hospitals and organizations that serve homeless and needy families.
