The search for a man who dived into the Columbia River near Desert Aire in Grant County and did not resurface last Sunday afternoon appears to be over, said the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

At about 11 a.m. today, the family of the missing man found a body floating in the Columbia River near Desert Aire. It is believed to be the body of the missing man.

The body was recovered by Grant County Sheriff's Marine Unit Deputies and is now in the custody of the Grant County Coroner.

The Seattle Police Department Harbor Patrol traveled to the scene on Tuesday to aid with the search

“I can only imagine what this man’s family must be going through and I continue to pray for them," said Sheriff Tom Jones earlier this week.
