Storm eliminated in 77-75 loss

The Seattle Storm will not repeat as WNBA champions. They were eliminated by Phoenix in the last second of Monday's first round elimination game.

Seattle led 29-11 at one point in the second quarter before allowing the Mercury, led by Candace Dupree to do the storming. Dupree hit the game-winner for Phoenix.

Sue Bird of the Storm led all scorers with 22 points. Lauren Jackson added 18 and Tanisha WRight scored 17 for Seattle. Dupree led Phoenix with 20. Penny Taylor scored 19 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for the Mercury.

The loss was only the Storm's third home defeat in 2 seasons.
