Storm take 1-0 lead in playoff opener

The Seattle Storm defeated the Phoenix Mercury 80-61 at Key Arena, Thursday. Tanisha Wright led the team with 21 points and Camille Little added 17 points and 11 rebounds. With the victory, the defending-champion Storm took a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinal.

Seattle led 40-31 at halftime and blew the Mercury away with a big third quarter, outscoring Phoenix 29-11.  The third quarter rally was capped by a 14-0 run.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series will be in Phoenix on Saturday. The Storm have won 11 of their last 12 games against the Mercury.
