Betty Anne Waters is a hero to innocent inmates everywhere. Her miraculous story was just made into movi, and is already getting Oscar buzz.

Hillary Swank plays Betty Anne Waters, the woman who proved her brother's innocence. Kenny Waters was convicted of murder, but his sister knew he couldn't have committed the crime. The high school drop out went back to school to get her GED, college diploma, and her law degree so she could represent him in court.

18 years after his conviction, Betty Anne Waters found new evidence to help overturn the murder conviction and set her brother free. She received help from the Innocence Project, which she is still a part of.

Tony Goldwyn, the movie's director, Betty Anne Waters and Juliette Lewis, who also stars in the film, came to Dallas to talk about the film.
