Arlington police officers are asking for the public's assistance with identifying a woman suspected of robbing an Arlington bank Tuesday afternoon. A woman walked into the Wachovia Bank at 101 East Interstate Highway 20 at about 4:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009. She approached a counter and passed the teller a note demanding money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank.
The suspect is described as a black woman, who is approximately 5'6" tall and around 170 pounds. During the robbery she wore a grey T-shirt, grey sweatpants and dark-colored flip flops or sandals. She also wore a dark floppy hat. Surveillance photos are attached to this email.
Anyone with information on this Aggravated Robbery is asked to call Arlington Police Detective Anthony Wright at (817) 459-5637 or Crime Stoppers at (817) 469-TIPS (8477). All tipsters remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward up to $1,000. An additional reward of $250 for information is also available through the Guns and Gang Busters Program through Safe City.
