A community is in mourning after a sixteen year old high school football player collapsed during a workout and later died. Today students in Plano took time out to remember their friend and teammate.

Students at R.C. Clark High School in Plano console each other with hugs. They also bring flowers for a private memorial for their classmate, sixteen year old Zachary Schrah, who died after school workout yesterday.

Football player Dalton Charlden says, " People was calling me and telling me that he didn't make it and i didn't believe it at first."

Students also make a memorial on Zach's Facebook page posting condolences to his family and lending support.

Police say Thursday night Schrah had gone over to nearby Plano East high school to lift weights, something he often did.

Coaches used a defibrillator on Zachary when he first collapsed at the high school. Emergency crews also performed CPR all the way to hospital. But, it wasn't enough. Zachery died at Medical Center of Plano.

Today teammates remember the look on his face the last time they saw him.
Jerron Harrison says, " He looked really tired and guess he didn't pay attention to his body."

Neighbors in Zachary neighborhood say the student lived with his father for many years. They two were very close.

An official cause of death is under investigation.
