A Food and Drug Administration study says antibiotic use among kids dropped 14 percent from 2002 to 2010. According to researchers, doctors are being more judicious about ordering prescriptions, out of fear of antibiotic resistance.

At the same time that antibiotic use is going down, ADHD prescriptions are up almost 50%.

Researchers say more children are being diagnosed and more effective drugs are available.
