Kidnappers in Venezuela thought they hit the jackpot when they nabbed a professional baseball player but they struck out!

Wilson Ramos, a professional MLB player, has been found alive!

Ramos was kidnapped from his mother's home at gunpoint on Wednesday. The next day, authorities found an SUV used in the kidnapping and were hot on the gunmen's trail.

Yesterday, authorities found Ramos alive and well about 60 miles from where he was taken.

Ramos was all thanks to his rescuers and supporters.

So why was Ramos kidnapped?

It's still not entirely clear but officials say as Venezuela’s economy has gone down, kidnappings and murders have gone up.

They believe baseball players who play professionally for the U.S. are an easy target because of their money.

So it seems the moral of the story is if you've got money, stay the heck out of Venezuela!
