Christian De La Rosa wants to know your story. He comes to FOX 5 San Diego from Orlando, Florida where he spent 5 years covering hurricanes, The Case Against Casey Anthony and the controversial killing of Trayvon Martin.
Christian also covered numerous NASA shuttle launches, and also reported on the economic impact after the Shuttle Program retired in 2011. Before his time in Central Florida, Christian worked in Panama City Beach and in Gainesville where he graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunications/News. For Christian, reporting isn't just a passion, it is also a responsibility to give people a voice and expose those that need exposed.
Christian has won several awards for his reporting. He's also reported internationally on several occasions; most recently he traveled to Kenya where he told the stories of children living in extreme poverty. Christian is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. He was born and raised in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico where he also attended La Universidad de Puerto Rico, recinto de Rio Piedras. In his free time, Christian enjoys traveling internationally. He is excited to explore and try everything America's Finest City has to offer. Which professional sport would you play and why?
I think I’d rather just sit and watch. Why? I can mingle.
If you were not in TV news, what profession would you choose? I’d probably open a coffee shop in the Canary Islands.
What's something that no one knows about you? I was a gymnast for 7 years.
