LAS VEGAS -- Chula Vista fighter Dominick Cruz retained his Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight title this weekend while getting revenge against the only man to beat him in the octagon.

On Saturday, Cruz and Urijah Faber met for the first time at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas since Faber submitted Cruz four years ago.

The two 135-pounders went at each other hard for the full five rounds trading blows, kicks, and tackles.

Faber rocked the San Diego native at one point, but in the final round, Cruz got the upper hand, with several take downs.

Cruz won the fight on all three judges' cards scoring 50-45, 49-46 and 48-47 and once again, will bring the belt back to the South Bay.

Chris Leben stopped Wanderlei Silva in 27 seconds during the co-main event.
