Man Sought in Attempted Abduction in Cypress Park


CYPRESS PARK, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police have released a sketch of a man suspected of trying to abduct a 16-year-old girl walking to school.

The attempted kidnapping happened around 8:20 a.m. Wednesday as the teen was walking to L.A. River High School in the area of Cypress Avenue and Silver Street.

The girl fought back, and was able to break free and run for help.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 25 to 30 years old.

He is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 180 pounds, with brown eyes and acne or chicken pox scars on his face.

His vehicle is described as a red Toyota-style pickup truck with faded paint and metal objects loaded in the rear.
