Singer Gavin DeGraw Tweets to Fans After Brutal Attack

NEW YORK (KTLA) -- Singer Gavin DeGraw has been released from the hospitalize after being attacked by a group of men on a street in New York City.

The 34-year-old suffered a broken nose, a concussion, a broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises, according to a statement released Tuesday.

"Gavin and his family appreciate everyone's concern at this time," the statement added.

The attack happened early Sunday morning in the East Village.

Tuesday afternoon, Gavin tweeted, "Hi my friends. Honestly, I don't remember much. I only know I can recover from here. Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys."

DeGraw was forced to cancel a concert planned for Tuesday in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

There was no word on any other upcoming tour dates and appearances.

His is currently on tour with Maroon 5 and Train.

DeGraw is probably best known for his songs "Chariot", "Follow Through", "I Don't Want to Be" (the theme song for the CW drama One Tree Hill), and "In Love with a Girl."
