LOS ANGELES -- Local AIDS activists are blasting FOX TV for not airing a public service announcement about condom use.

The ad features actress and AIDS activist Sheryl Lee Ralph urging women to practice safe sex.

Leaders of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation slammed the network for not airing the 30-second spot during its primetime show 'Family Guy'. They said the ad is, "Totally PG."

There was no response from FOX about whether the public service announcement will run on other media outlets, including MTV.

There are 56,000 new AIDS infections every year in the U.S.
