TUSTIN, Calif. (KTLA) -- A naked man accused of stealing a Hummer limousine at gunpoint was finally cornered by a police dog after a high speed pursuit.

Police say Ahmad Mabrok, 29, of Tustin was fully dressed when he confronted the limousine's driver at the intersection of Sand Canyon Avenue and Burt Road in Irvine about 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

Mabrok, who was armed with a gun, took off in the vehicle.

He eventually pulled over in Whittier and tried to run away.

By this time, he was completely naked.

He ran around waving his arms, until a police dog was able to take him down.

Mabrok was arrested on suspicion of carjacking, evading arrest and resisting officers.

He was taken to hospital for observation.

"We cannot tell you why he was not wearing clothes," said Lt. Julia Engen, the Irvine Police Department spokesman.

"All we know is that he was wearing them at the original crime so [he] took them off along the way."

No passengers were in the limo at the time of the incident.
