Paraglider Rescued After Getting Stuck In Power Lines

A woman is now safe and on the ground hours after her paraglider became tangled in power lines.

Witnesses report that just before 4 p.m. a glider struck the power lines and got stuck in power lines near Highway 49 and Woodridge Road.

Kara Gridley was the pilot inside.

Cal Fire rescue workers were able to free Gridley a few hours later after PG&E shut down power to the lines.

The woman's boyfriend tells FOX40 News Gridley has been paragliding for about 3 months.
