According the various media reports, the Sacramento Kings did not allow rookie center DeMarcus Cousins on the team plane for the flight to Phoenix where the Kings play the Suns on Sunday.

According to Fanhouse, which first reported the incident, Cousins was very angry about the final play of the Kings loss to Oklahoma City Saturday night.

On the play, with the Kings trailing by two points in the last seconds of the game, forward Donte Greene inbounded the ball to Tyreke Evans, rather than passing it to Cousins who was closer to the basket. Evans missed a three-point shot from the top of the arc, and the Kings lost another close game.

Fanhouse reports Cousins verbally challenged both Greene and Cousins after the game, insisting he should have received the pass and the chance to win the game. According to Fanhouse writer Sam Amick, the verbal exchange ended with Cousins and Greene throwing punches at each other.

The Kings have announced Cousins will not play in Sunday night's game while they review what happened in the locker room Sunday night.
