Angels Camp Police arrested a group of thieves Saturday, for using a stolen debit card to shop around town, including a Save Mart grocery store.
Officers were tipped off to the thieves by the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office, after they got a call from the Save Mart store manager in San Andreas.
The manager reported to officers he saw two women attempting to use a stolen card twice that day.
Store surveillance video shows the two women at the registers, and a guy at the Red Box outlet inside the store, all trying to pay with the same stolen card.
The three were quickly identified and the investigation led officers to the Worldmark Wyndham Resorts time shares, where all three were arrested.
Police say the card was taken in a reported car burglary in San Andreas.
Amanda Bulcao, Elizabeth Perry, and John Clark were all booked in the county jail and are facing multiple charges, including possession of stolen property and criminal conspiracy. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office also added charges related to the reported car burglary where the debit card was taken from.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
