Stockton Ethanol Plant Temporarily Shut Down

Pacific Ethanol, the largest producer of ethanol on the West Coast, is temporarily suspending operations at its Stockton plant which just opened last October.

That plant can produce 60 million gallons of ethanol a year.

Operations are also being suspended at an Idaho plant.

Back in January, Pacific Ethanol suspended operations at its Madera plant.

The Sacramento-based company blamed unfavorable market conditions for ethanol.
