Stockton Police arrested a man suspected of robbing a bank Tuesday.

The Bank of Stockton was robbed early Monday afternoon when a man demanded money by handing a note to a clerk. The man was given an unknown amount of money, then ran east down Miner Avenue.

Police say they received a tip from someone after seeing a surveillance photo of the man on the news. That tip, according to police, led officers to the Cosmos Hotel on South San Joaquin Street and arrested the suspected bank robber.

Martin Artesi, a 56-year-old parolee, was arrested for bank robbery and parole violation.
