Stockton Police Search for Serial Robber

Police in Stockton are searching for a man they believe to be responsible for eight bank robberies since April, the most recent of which happened Wednesday.

The man is suspected of robbing the Bank of the West branch on Carolyn Weston Boulevard April 27, the Bank of the West branch on North Pershing Avenue May 14, the Farmers & Merchants Bank on McGaw Street May 23 and the Chase Bank on Tam O Shanter Drive May 31.

On July 2, someone matching his description robbed the Chase Bank on South Harland Road.

He is also suspected of robbing the Bank of the West branch on East Hammer Lane Aug. 6, the Bank of Stockton on Quail Lakes Drive Aug. 14 and the Central State Credit Union on North El Dorado Street the same day.

The man is described by police as a black male in his 20’s or 30’s, tall and skinny, wears glasses and has a goatee.
