SUV From Deadly Hit-and-Run Found

Investigators say they have found the SUV used in a deadly hit-and-run crash earlier this month outside a Sacramento home.

Sometime on Friday, CHP says they found a white 1997 Expedition through an anonymous tip. Investigators would not elaborate, but said they believe this is the SUV that ran into two men who were saying goodbye along Winding Way on March 22.

Paul Pellandini, 54, died instantly. His friend, 57-year-old William Collins, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. As of Saturday morning, he was listed in good condition.

The CHP says they are still conducting interviews in connection to the Expedition they found, and have not made any arrests at this time.

Pellandini’s funeral is Saturday in Carmichael.
