K-State's Samuels ineligible for Saturday's game with Syracuse

K-State's second leading scorer Jamar Samuels is in eligible for the Wildcats' third round game with Syracuse Saturday morning.

Athletics director John Currie say Samuels the issue that had arisen in the past 24 hours but would not say whether it was an academic issue, a behavioral issue or something else.

Samuels has started 21 games and is averaging 7.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Freshman Thomas Gibson started in his play against the Orangemen.
