The Backstretch Blog: Missing NASCAR? There are two chances to catch Clint Bowyer on tv this week

Kansas native Clint Bowyer may be done racing for the year, but he is still plenty busy. All of the drivers who finished in the top 10 in points are in Las Vegas this week for Friday's annual awards banquet.

For Bowyer, he still can't believe his number 15 team finished second in the standings, in his first season at Michael Waltrip Racing.

"It's huge -- to end up second in points and beat guys like Jimmie Johnson to do it," said Bowyer. "There's several races -- had I had to do over again -- I wish they would've been different.  Talladega was the biggest one. I'm proud of everybody, because we were there all season long."

You can see Bowyer accept his second place trophy on the live awards banquet show, that will air Friday at 7pm on the SPEED Channel.

If you want to see the Kansas Kid in a little bit different atmosphere, Bowyer will be appearing on Wednesday's episode of the A&E show 'Duck Dynasty.' In the episode Bowyer visits the stars of the show, the Robertson family and challenges them to a race.

To see who wins, you can watch 'Duck Dynasty' at 9 pm Wednesday on A&E.
