Scott Lygrisse is our director. He has that entire board full of buttons under his control. He watches the monitors and follows along with the show using the scripts on that stand in the foreground. It's a lot to do but he does it well! Barbie Carrigan is in the background. She's a "Jane of all trades." On this particular day, she's working chyron. That's the machine that puts words up on the screen. Whether it's a picture of a suspect, a description of a vehicle police are looking for or the names of the anchors & reporters, Barbie is the one who types them out and gets the proper page ready to hit the air when the director calls for it. She also makes sure the spelling is correct! Important job! |
