The Lakers defeated the Chicago Bulls at Staples Center in a game that was significant for several players in some respect. Andrew Bynum (17), for example, continued his strong early season play. For Brian Cook, right, it turned out to be his final game in a Lakers' uniform; he was traded to Orlando later in the week. The Bulls' Ben Wallace (3) and Kirk Hinrich, meanwhile, were still wearing Chicago red instead of L.A. purple, gold and white; they had been mentioned as possible parts of a trade for Kobe Bryant, who, although not pictured here, really was still a Laker and really hadn't bought Michael Jordan's Illinois house, as was being rumored.
