Big names in the fashion world turned out Monday for John Galliano’s debut as haute couture director of Maison Martin Margiela in a runway show scheduled rather strangely at the end of London Men’s Fashion Week. Faces in the crowd included American Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour; model Kate Moss; fashion designers Christopher Bailey of Burberry and Alber Elbaz of Lanvin and shoe designer Manolo Blahnik. It marked Galliano’s return as a creative director, almost four years after he was fired by Christian Dior for making alcohol-fueled anti-Semitic remarks. [Telegraph]
