Now that’s scary: Starbucks has a Franken Frappuccino for Halloween, and it’s green

Starbucks has released a new frightful drink just in time for Halloween. The Franken Frappuccino is available at participating stores through Friday.

If you’re brave enough to try it, the drink is a green tea Frappuccino with peppermint syrup, white mocha, java chips and a mocha drizzle.

A grande Frappuccino, including the Franken Frappuccino is $3 through Friday, a Starbucks representative told The Times in an email.

If your barista looks confused at your order, make sure you’re armed with the appropriate recipe. According to the Starbucks fan blog StarbuksMelody.com, you can make it by adding three pumps of white mocha sauce, three pumps of peppermint syrup and mocha java chips to a green tea Frappuccino.

And just because it’s Halloween, why not add a little caramel syrup on top while you’re at it? Just to make things really scary.
