Bobbi Kristina Brown moved to hospice as her rep sues Nick Gordon big time

Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, has been taken off all medications and moved into hospice care, where she can have a natural death. The Times’ Christy Khoshaba has the details.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was moved to hospice care on Wednesday, according to Pat Houston, the 22-year-old’s aunt and co-guardian -- and Nick Gordon appears to be in a heap of legal trouble.

“Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate,” Pat Houston said on behalf of the Houston family in a statement obtained by the Associated Press. “As of today, she has been moved into hospice care.”

Brown, whose nickname is Krissi, was hospitalized Jan. 31 after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at the Atlanta-area home she shared with “adopted brother”-turned-boyfriend Nick Gordon. She was on life support for a time and then was breathing on her own after a respirator was removed.

The only child of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown has been in a rehab facility since March.

“She is in God’s hands now,” said Pat Houston, who was named Krissi’s co-guardian, along with Bobby Brown, in early May.

In a statement in April, Cissy Houston said that while her granddaughter was “no longer in a medically induced coma, she has a tracheotomy, and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.”

Notably, Krissi is the sole heir to her mother’s estate after Whitney Houston’s Feb. 11, 2012, drowning death, with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors -- and where there’s money, there’s usually drama.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s legal conservator has filed a $10-million lawsuit against Gordon in Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court, alleging he harmed Bobbi Kristina physically and then took over control of her finances and stole more than $11,000 from her after she was hospitalized.

Gordon went into rehab in March and most recently has been living in Florida.

“Defendant has held himself out as having several different relationships with Brown at various times,” the AJC said, quoting court documents. “Prior to 2012, Defendant held himself out to be Brown’s surrogate ‘brother.’ Then, after 2012, when Brown inherited a substantial sum, Defendant assumed the position of Brown’s boyfriend. On or around Jan. 9, 2014 Defendant perpetuated the fraud that he had married Brown, though in fact he never did so.”

The suit reportedly alleges domestic violence by Gordon and says Brown was going to seek outside advice after learning that he was “not the man she thought he was,” but never made the Jan. 31 appointment because she got into a loud argument with Gordon and was later found unresponsive.

Attorneys for Bobby Brown and Pat Houston did not immediately respond Wednesday to requests for comment.
