Can you smell what the Rock is earning? Dwayne Johnson has been named the world’s highest paid actor of 2016.

And it doesn’t come as much of a surprise: The former wrestler has been everywhere this year and displaced three-time list-topper Robert Downey Jr. by earning a cool $64.5 million from June 2015 to June 2016, according to tallies made by Forbes. Baller status, indeed.

But don’t feel bad for genius-billionaire-playboy-philanthropist Tony Stark. “Iron Man” star Downey may have dropped from the No. 1 to the No. 8 spot on the list, but still made about $33 million — a payday bolstered by his latest film in the Marvel juggernaut “Captain America: Civil War,” which was his only film released in the scoring period.

Meanwhile, the bankable Johnson kept his 2016 busy and doubled his 2015 earnings with upfront fees from “Fast 8”; the upcoming big-screen “Baywatch” reboot; and his Kevin Hart buddy comedy, “Central Intelligence.” The “Ballers” star isn’t showing signs of slowing down either: The gentile giant with a mega-watt smile has a full slate of upcoming releases that will take him through 2019, including Disney’s animated film “Moana,” a “San Andreas” sequel, top billing in the forthcoming “Doc Savage,” two “Journey” sequels and DC’s “Shazam!”

Johnson’s “Fast 8” costar Vin Diesel, with whom a production imbroglio sent shockwaves through the franchise earlier this month, landed in the No. 7 spot with $35 million and made the list for the third time.

On Tuesday, the financial mag dubbed “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence the highest paid actress of 2016. The Oscar winner topped the list for the second year in a row and earned an estimated $46 million.

That payday still puts the young actress behind the top five actors and Hollywood veterans on the male list released Thursday. Chinese superstar Jackie Chan whirlwind-kicked his way into the No. 2 spot again this year, earning an estimated $61 million, and perennial list-makers Matt Damon ($55 million), Tom Cruise ($53 million) and Johnny Depp ($48 million) rounded out the top five.

The financial magazine, which estimates earnings based on data from Nielsen, BoxOffice Mojo and IMDB, in addition to interviews with agents, managers and lawyers, also included on its list Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, Mark Wahlberg, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Pratt, Will Smith, Matthew McConaughey, Harrison Ford and a quartet of Bollywood actors.
