Kate Upton cheers on beau Justin Verlander despite Tigers’ loss

Call Kate Upton a devoted fan -- a devoted fan of her man, that is.

The curvaceous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model was photographed in the stands on Friday cheering for her beau, Justin Verlander, a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, as his team was matched against the Baltimore Orioles in Game 2 of the American League Division Series.

Upton, 22, who has been linked to Verlander since July 2012, donned a Tigers T-shirt and represented her hometown team at the away game. Unfortunately for her, the Orioles beat the Tigers 7-6, gaining a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five division series.

“The Other Woman” star was formerly an avid New York Yankees fan, but when she started dating Verlander, 31, she switched her allegiance. The move didn’t sit well with the Big Apple team, she said on “Live! With Kelly and Michael” in August.

“I used to be a really big Yankees fan,” Upton explained. “But I’m sleeping with the enemy. My boyfriend plays for the Tigers. I had to pick a side. And I felt it too, when I walked in. The Yankees told me, ‘You’re not allowed to wear a Tigers hat. You’re not allowed to wear any Tigers gear.’ It’s like a bad breakup.”

Not all is fair in love and baseball ...

Meanwhile, the pair was among the bevy of celebrities targeted in August’s massive nude-photo hack.

Verlander, the only guy so far in the situation, declined to address the stolen photos and his personal life, but an attorney who says he represents dozens of the high-profile victims on Wednesday threatened a $100-million lawsuit against Google to get the Internet giant to remove the pictures from its search results and further stem the distribution of the images. Google responded by saying that it had already promptly removed “tens of thousands of pictures” and “closed hundreds of accounts” related to the photo hacking incident.

Not to worry, those Sports Illustrated Swimsuit pictures of Upton are still readily available.
