Charles Gillingham of Counting Crows has listed a rock-star-worthy house in Studio City for sale at $1,999,999.

The stellar contemporary was designed by architect Jay Vanos and built in 2010. Floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted truss ceilings and a well-executed open plan design contribute to the chic, modern vibe.

The 3,240 square feet of interior space on two levels contain a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, an updated kitchen with an island, a breakfast area, a downstairs playroom/den, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The three-car garage is attached.

The nearly one-third acre lot includes mature trees, a walking path and a bridge over a stream bed. Decking takes in cityscape, mountain and wooded views.

Gillingham, 55, is keyboardist for the rock band. Counting Crows’ albums include the band’s debut album “August and Everything After” (1993) and last year’s “Somewhere Under Wonderland.” Their songs have been featured in films including “Shrek 2” (2004) for which “Accidentally in Love” was nominated for a best original song Oscar.

He bought the property in 2011 for $1.5 million.

Carol Huston of Wish Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent.
