Professional baseball player Chone Figgins, who made a brief comeback with the Dodgers last season, has sold his condominium residence in Newport Coast for $1.15 million.

The unit, found within the guard-gated Ziani community, offers 2,100 square feet of living space with an updated kitchen, an office, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Features include a pair of private balconies and a master suite with a large walk-in closet.

Community amenities include a pool and spa, putting greens, walking trails and designated hammock areas.

The utility player, who began his career with the Angels, was a surprise addition to the Dodgers roster out of spring training this year after sitting out the previous season. He appeared in 38 games, playing mostly third and second, but was slowed by injury and later released by the team in August.

Figgins had asked about $1.2 million for the condo when he put it on the market in September. He paid $1.195 million for the property in 2006, records show.

Joseph Martelli of Joseph Martelli Real Estate Investments listed the property on behalf of the ballplayer. Kim Cole of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage represented the buyer in the sale, which closed in late October.
