Getting an early jump on his off-season is Oakland A’s outfielder Coco Crisp, who has posted two homes for sale in Southern California.

On the market in Rancho Mirage is his 8,520-square-foot contemporary in the guard-gated Thunderbird Cove community. Listed at $2.85 million, the four-bedroom, six-bathroom residence features a stacked-stone entry, vaulted wood ceilings and a see-through fireplace that separates the living and dining rooms.

Among the amenities: a family room with a wet bar, a chef’s kitchen and a master suite with a sitting room and fireplace. Outdoors, landscaped grounds center on a pool and spa with a waterfall feature.

Crisp paid $2.3 million for the Balinese-inspired residence in January 2008, property records show. In addition to the current list price, the property is also available for lease at $8,500 a month. William C. Taylor of HOM Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent.

The ballplayer also has a home in Redondo Beach on the market at $1.099 million. Clad in travertine and hardwood flooring, the Traditional-style home includes an updated kitchen, large formal living spaces, four bedrooms and two bathrooms in 2,892 square feet.

The home, built in 1964 last sold in 2006 for $975,000, records show. Alison Whitaker of Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing.

Crisp, 34, batted .246 with 19 stolen bases and 68 runs scored while playing mostly center field for the Athletics this season, his fifth with the team. The 13-year veteran previously won a World Series title with the Boston Red Sox in 2007.
