Ex-49er Dana Stubblefield sells Morgan Hill, Calif., home at a loss
Former professional football player Dana Stubblefield has sold his home in Morgan Hill, a city in Santa Clara County, for $1.09 million.
Stubblefield, who made three Pro Bowl teams as a member of the San Francisco 49ers, was charged Monday by the Santa Clara County district attorney’s office with multiple counts of rape.
The Spanish-style house, built in 2006, has formal living and dining rooms, an eat-in kitchen, a family room with a fireplace and a bonus room in roughly 4,200 square feet of space. The master suite has two walk-in closets and a soaking tub for a total of six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
Outdoors, a wide patio surrounds a saltwater swimming pool with a waterslide and waterfall feature. A fire pit sits adjacent to the pool.
The home came on the market in February for $1.025 million and closed sale last week. Stubblefield bought the property a year ago for $1.199 million, records show.
The 45-year-old defensive lineman played 11 seasons in the NFL for the 49ers, Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders, winning a Super Bowl title with San Francisco in 1995. He was the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 1997.
