Dustin Lance Black gets his price and more for Hollywood Hills West home
Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black has passed on his 1950s home in Hollywood Hills West, selling the two-bedroom spot for $950,000.
The cream-colored and red-trimmed home has a staircase leading up to a Dutch front door. Hardwood floors and built-ins highlight the living room, and the kitchen pairs white cabinetry with a tiled backsplash. In all, it has 1,005 square feet of interior space.
Through French doors is an ivy-surrounded patio in the backyard. Steps lead to a higher terrace with city views.
The final sale price was $53,000 more than what Black listed the home for in January, records show. He bought the property in 2004 for $525,000.
Elisa G. Ritt and Anthony Stellini of Nourmand & Associates were the listing agents. Sam Real of Nest Seekers represented the buyer.
Black, 43, has a variety of directing and screenwriting credits, including “Pedro” (2008), “Virginia” (2010) and “J. Edgar” (2011). Many of his projects explore LGBTQ themes, and he won an Academy Award for original screenplay for the 2008 film “Milk.”
