Filmmaker Peter Chan lists his sleek contemporary in Hollywood Hills West

Share

Chinese filmmaker Peter Chan has put a dramatic contemporary-style in home in Hollywood Hills West on the market for $6.295 million.

Built in 2007, the gated two-story sits on a secluded drive and has 270-degree views of the Sunset Strip and the downtown Los Angeles cityscape.

Through glass entry doors, the home opens to a living and dining room area with vaulted ceilings, stacked-stone accents and retractable walls of glass that span the entire length of the room.

Other common areas include a lofted office/bonus room and a modern-style kitchen complete with custom cabinetry, floating range hood and center island/breakfast bar.

A floating glass staircase leads to the second level, where the master suite features a bathroom done in vibrant marble, a soaking tub and a rain shower. There are three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in all.

Outdoors, a wide patio has a fire pit, a built-in barbecue and a covered dining area. An infinity-edge swimming pool and spa with a cascading waterfall feature completes the setting.

Chan, 53, has directed and produced scores of box office hits in Hong Kong, including “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Father” (1993), “Bodyguards and Assassins” (2009), and, more recently, the 2014 drama “Dearest.” Among his American films is the 1999 romantic comedy “The Love Letter,” starring Ellen DeGeneres and Tom Selleck.
