PGA golfer Trevor Immelman puts his golf course home up for sale
PGA golfer Trevor Immelman, who bested Tiger Woods by three strokes to win the Masters Tournament in 2008, has teed up his golf course home in Orlando, Fla., for sale at $1.995 million.
The 5,581-square-foot residence, built in 2002, sits off of a large motor court and is entered through a columned portico and grand foyer. The two-story floor plan sports bright interiors with detailed ceiling treatments, hardwood flooring and delicate molding.
Among features is a step-down living room with a fireplace and a wet bar, a formal dining room and a private study. The family room connects to a lanai with a game room and gym. In all, the home counts five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
The master retreat, with his and hers closets and a soaking tub, opens onto an outdoor living area spanning 3,600 square feet. The covered space contains a pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen and a gazebo with a fire pit.
A private putting green with fairway views of the Tom Fazio-designed golf course at the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club completes the setting.
The South African golfer, who has earned more than $17 million for his career, has two wins on the PGA Tour and four more on the European Tour since turning pro in 1999. He was the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2006.
Immelman had asked as much as $2.595 million for the property in March 2012, public records show. He paid $2.1 million for the home in 2005. Michael Clary of Lake Nona Realty holds the listing.
The golf pro previously decamped to Windermere, Fla., where he purchased a Mediterranean-style estate in the Isleworth Golf & Country Club community for $2.9 million in early 2012, according to Celebrity Address Aerial.
