Share

Ferrari is celebrating its 70th anniversary by bringing 70 classic cars to Pebble Beach — one Ferrari for each year in the Italian sports car company’s history.

The cars, owned by the company, private owners and museums, are valued at a total of $500 million.

Highlights from the collection, which will be displayed on the 1st fairway and will be open to the public during Sunday’s Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance, include:

A company representative said the cars have all been certified by the company’s Classiche division. This is probably the largest such gathering of historical models.

None will be for sale, but Ferrari fans can see many Italian stallions up for auction during the weeklong Pebble event.

Mecum will offer 40 “collectible” Ferraris. Bonham’s will have 21 Ferraris under the gavel for its one-day auction at The Quail. Gooding will have a collection of very good ’70s, ’80s and ’90s cars. Russo and Steele is showing several ’50s and ’60s Ferraris. Mecum will offer two LaFerraris, one expected to bring $4.7 million or more.
