More than 130 Los Angeles firefighters responded to a residential fire that burned two homes and vegetation in a San Pedro neighborhood on Friday, officials said.

A helicopter helped firefighters battle the blaze, which took less than an hour to get under control. The fire broke out shortly after 5 p.m. in the 700 block of West Oliver Street, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.

There were no reports of injuries, and no formal evacuation order was issued, Humphrey said.
