Investigators have seized an SUV that may be linked to the killing of a pregnant mother in a Venice Beach parking lot earlier this week, police said Wednesday.

The vehicle was found in the 900 block of Milwood Avenue, about a mile from where 22-year-old Jasmine Preciado was stabbed to death Monday night, said LAPD Officer Mike Lopez.

Police said the SUV was seen fleeing the scene carrying two women and a man about 9:30 p.m. near Windward and Pacific avenues.

Preciado was pregnant and had a 3-year-old daughter, according to NBC4.

Security video from a store in the area appeared to show the assailants and the SUV moments before the attack.

In video obtained by KCBS, a group of people is gathered near the vehicle when one of them begins to walk away. Someone in the group is seen moving toward that person and grabbing them from behind. At almost the same time, the other two people rush toward the pair. What happens from there is out of the view of the camera but a moment later, someone in a light shirt runs to the front of the SUV with a shiny, long object in their hand.

The group ultimately left the area.

Police said Preciado had been in a fight with two women and a man in that area when she was killed.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call LAPD West Homicide at (213) 382-9470.
