Reader Photo: Thanksgiving surf
After Thanksgiving dinner, Wade Hewitt went down to Santa Monica beach to watch the sunset with his family. He noticed a couple of boys skim boarding in the surf, enjoying the warm weather.
The conditions that evening combined for a perfect scene: the sunset, reflections in the water and a great sky.
“Couple that with the desire to tout our nice weather to my East Coast friends and it made for a moment that I couldn’t pass up,” Hewitt said.
“The boys continued to play until the sun was totally down then, along with the rest of us on the beach, packed it up and headed for home.”
Hewitt made the image using a Fuji X100 23mm.
