Fantasy

Longevity is no easy thing to achieve in Las Vegas. One minute you’re hot and the next you’re history.

So it says a lot that “Fantasy,” the adult revue at Luxor, is still going gangbusters after 11 years.

“Fantasy” is the antidote to the Vegas weekend that’s turning into more city than sin. The 90-minute show features skimpy costumes, sensual silk aerials, spicy Latin numbers and a saucy rendition of “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).”

The show stars Lorena Peril, a pint-sized but powerful vocalist whose singing style is often — and aptly — compared to that of Christina Aguilera, whom she impersonated in “American Superstars” at the Stratosphere.

Peril opens “Fantasy” with a steamy version of Aguilera’s “Desnudate.” She dons dark suit and fedora for a full-throttled “It’s a Man’s World” and performs a flirtatious belly dance with the show’s resident comedian, Sean E. Cooper.

Cooper is a brilliant impressionist who does a number of entertainers — among them a spot-on Sammy Davis Jr., Michael Jackson and James Brown.

“Fantasy” is created and produced by the Emmy Award-winning choreographer Anita Mann, who has been attached to numerous stage and screen projects.

Luxor’s Atrium Showroom seats 350, providing an intimate experience.
