To the editor: Ann Simmons’ obituary for Lee Wesley Gibson is a wonderful and inspirational tribute for a man who sadly was also an anachronism from a different era. He was a man of integrity, honesty, loyalty, admirable work ethic and family values. (Re “Lee Wesley Gibson, 1910-2016: a rail man from a different era,” Obituary, June 30)

Attributes that at one time were expected and required from our politicians, particularly from the leader of our country.
